About us
Age Old Signs is owned and operated by Alan Kennedy, and with 40 years experience, he believes that hand lettering is not only a trade of days gone by, but an art and one that deserves and needs to be kept alive in these “digital” times.
We specialise in traditional hand painted lettering, pin-striping, custom hand painted signs, murals, scenic painting, props, windows and just about anything else that paint will stick to.
Alan has been working as a signwriter since starting his apprenticeship in 1984. He has worked on specialty signage projects for many clients including Disney, Pixar, Nando’s, Total Tools and many more. Alan has received numerous awards, including those recognised by the Australian Sign & Graphics Association for excellence in Traditional Hand Painted Signwriting.
With over three decades of experience in signwriting and working in the sign industry Alan has gained a wealth of hands on knowledge working on many aspects of signage and keeping up to date in this ever-changing industry. Alan’s craft can be seen across the country on many various shops, both external and internal, corporate imaging, major events, vehicles, murals and much more.
